Part 1 of the Exago Video Training Series
Next: ExpressView
Transcript
Hello, and welcome to the Exago Video Training Series. These videos are short, informational segments aimed at getting you more comfortable in the Exago interface. As Exago is an embedded reporting application, you’ll always be logging in to your company’s host app first, simulated by our example demo app here. To begin, we’ll login, and navigate to our reporting tab, and launch the full Exago UI.
On our left hand side, we’ll begin with our main menu. From here we can browse our report tree, and make modifications to our folder structure if we’d like. We’ll also see some folders have a lock icon, to denote they are read only and can’t be modified.
Clicking the plus button will prompt us to make a new report, our options being ExpressView, an easy to use data discovery tool; an advanced report, where we have more in depth design capability; a crosstab report, where we can expand our data both horizontally and vertically; a dashboard, an interactive HTML canvas that contains multiple reports or visualizations; and finally a chained report, where we can combine multiple reports into a single document.
On our right hand side is our tabular interface. As we begin to create, execute, or modify various reports, we’ll see those respective tabs here. Finally we come to our context sensitive help button, which will give us more information about whichever part of the application is currently open.
This concludes our intro and navigation video. In our next segment, we’ll introduce the ExpressView designer, the fastest way to explore your data. Until next time, Happy Reporting!
